| Boys Blast Teams |
The boys club is affiliated with the girls Blast program, Blast Volleyball Academy.
Diane Short is the director for both the boys and girls clubs.
In 2008 we had four teams, one U-18, two U-17, and one U-16. These elite teams successfully competed at the highest level possible in New England. We had 8 or 9 players per team. Club volleyball offers great coaching and a higher level of competition than can be found anywhere in Rhode Island. The top players from every New England state meet and play to determine the top club in the region.

| The RI Blast Volleyball Academy U-17 team won their third tournament championship this season in Derry, New Hampshire on Sunday,

Boys Blast history... |

The boys men’s club is entering its 4th year this year.
Boy's Blast experienced a ton of success, winning New England Regional’s for under 17’s in 2005 and following that up with
a win in the under 18 New England Region Championships in 2006.
Past players include:
Steve fuller (2 time First Team All-State and MVP of 2006 Rhode Island Interscholastic League Championship Game),
Eddy Delsignore (2 time First Team All-State and MVP of 2005 Rhode Island Interscholastic League Championship Game),
Kevin McDonald (First Team All State in ’06, Second Team All-State in ’05, RIIL All Tournament Team, All-Tournament team in the New England
Regional Championships in ’06),
Dan Fanning (First Team All-State in ’05), and
Scott Grandpre (2 time First Team All-State, 2 time RIIL All-Tournament team, and MVP of the New England Regional Championships in ’06).
The Blast boys club has sent 2 teams to nationals, including an under 18’s team that finished 17th in the club division. |
