Blast was formed in 2001 to help further the development of girls Juniors club volleyball in the
Ocean State and has been the largest club in Rhode Island since its inception. In 2004, Blast added
boys to the program and now offers teams for both genders. Diane Short is owner and Club Director.

The Blast Boy's program has had a very successful season in 2008. Our teams have all been competitive throughout the season. The 17's team took first place in several tournaments. Thanks to all the players, parents, and coaches for a great Season!

| Announcing Associate Director for 2007 and 2008 |
I am very excited to announce Ray DeAngelis as Associate Director of Blast. Ray brings great
experience as a very successful coach and administrator at The Community College of Rhode Island.
He will be in charge of facilities, purchasing, player ref/score keeping training, and player registration.
Jill Krebs has agreed to be in charge of Fund-raising and she has announced Tom Harrington as her co-chair.
